The British government is ready to advance with employing the entire amount of immobilized Russian holdings to support the Ukrainian defense operations, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a shared declaration, the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany asserted that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Russia to participate in talks.

They clarified that the decision would be executed in strong partnership with the America.

United Kingdom sanctions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russian funds since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, until now, resources provided to the Ukrainian government using Russian assets had exclusively been drawn from earnings and returns generated on them.

Sir Keir told Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, France, and Germany were aligned in their goal to push forward toward using the complete amount of the immobilized Moscow's national assets to end the war.

He noted that more sanctions over the next period would heighten the tension on the Russian government.

This announcement follows EU officials convened in the Danish capital recently to consider utilizing seized Russian funds for a 140-billion-euro credit to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, US President Donald Trump encouraged Group of Seven partners to seize or employ seized Russia's funds, according to news outlets.

The value of seized Russian holdings in the Europe is estimated to be nearly €211bn.

President Zelensky urges Britain's Sir Keir Starmer to take part in the PURL programme

Russia executed widespread aerial attacks throughout Ukraine on Friday, causing blackouts in many areas of the capital city, Kyiv, and multiple additional areas.

Two people were lost their lives and a minimum of 20 people were wounded in the strike, authorities in Ukraine stated.

In a update on an online platform subsequent to the strike, Zelensky commented that the strategic strike aimed at public and utility structures.

"What is required is not empty words but decisive action - from the America, Europe, and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and applying restrictions," he emphasized.

"Every sanction decision undermines the Russian war effort," Zelensky noted, in a different message.

Also on Friday, Zelensky told the press he would encourage Sir Keir to enter the Purl program, under which Nato countries purchase military equipment from the America to provide to the Ukrainian forces.

While commending the Britain's strong support for the Ukrainian government, he remarked it should send a clear signal that it would participate in the system, as well as apply additional restrictions on the Russian Federation.
