Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Supporters across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a less warm reception at the rally. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a mix of cheers and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his address.
The championship acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
