Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The influential video game developer lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
